Final Regular Season Weekend

Well, we've finally reached the tail-end of the lacrosse season. Next week is the start of the playoffs and the brackets are all but officially set in stone. Congrats to North Allegheny, Mt. Lebanon, Hampton and Greensburg Central Catholic for winning each of the regular season section titles and will host first round playoff games. On Wednesday, Seneca Valley beat Franklin Regional in overtime to seize second in the North section of Division I and earn a postseason match-up at home. It's been a wild season, and the best is still yet to come. Listed below are the teams guaranteed to play in this season's WPIAL playoffs as well as Friday night's action.

     Division I South
1. Mt. Lebanon (6-0, 13-3)
2. Sewickley Academy (5-1, 13-4)
3. Upper St. Clair (4-2, 8-7)
4. Peters Township/Pittsburgh Central Catholic/Bethel Park each have a 2-4 section record

     Division I North
1. North Allegheny (5-0, 12-3)
2. Seneca Valley (4-1, 7-8)
3. Franklin Regional (3-2, 6-11)
4. Shady Side Academy (1-3, 7-8)

     Division II South
1. Greensburg Central Catholic (8-0, 12-4)
